Our heavy linen in black-blue is beautifully rustic. The warp threads are black, the weft threads in dark blue. They are woven in plain weave. It is very rough and somewhat grainy - just the right thing if you like textured fabrics.
Attention: This fabric washes out. That is intended. The yarns are not dyed to the core, just as it is done with denim. This causes the fabric to fade especially the first time you wash it, but also a little with each additional wash. If you want your fabric to stay dark blue, we don't recommend this fabric! If you want to work with wash-out effects, then this is exactly the right fabric for you. It's best to do a small wash test first to see what the effect will be. Then work the garment WITHOUT pre-washing the fabric, accounting for 5-10% shrinkage. Only wash the finished garment to create the typical jeans seams with light and dark areas.Composition: 100% Linen
