Cotton - rib knit - stone grey
This medium-weight cotton rib knit contains a small percentage of spandex, which means it keeps its shape well. It is easy to sew and despite its light weight suitable for leggings and dresses, as well as tops.
With this rib knit you can use both sides of the fabric. One side is a dark mottled grey, the other side of the fabric is a lighter grey. We used the darker side of the fabric to sew a dress. It's a mash-up of the Eva Top by Cool Stitches and the Nikko Dress by True Bias. From the lighter side of the fabric, we made the Avery Leggings by Helen's Closet.
Here an example why our fabrics are deadstock: on the darker side this rib knit has a small knitting error in the middle along the whole length. A change in tension in the rib pattern gives the optical illusion of a dark stripe. We used the fabric as it is. Depending on the sewing pattern you will be able to cut around it. On the lighter side of the fabric this small error is not visible.
The fabric's width is only 105 cm. This needs to be considered when choosing the fabric amount.
