Product information "Cotton - jersey heavy - texture white"
This heavy jersey reveals its distinctiveness when looked at closely. The right side of the fabric has an interesting diagonal knit pattern, which is different from typical single jerseys. The wrong side of the fabric is smooth and by using the two sides of the fabric, you can give your garment more depth. The fabric does furl when stretched, when ironed without steam however, it sits flat again. Apart from that, the fabric is very easy to sew, perfect for anyone who is hesitating to sew with knits. Even though the fabric is white it is almost completely opaque. It's best suited for trousers and skirts. The fabric has stretch in both directions.
We made some bikes shorts using the Avery Leggings by Helen's Closet and a self-drafted skirt. Since the fabric has less stretch than the leggings pattern recommended (the Avery Leggings require fabric with at least 70% stretch in both directions), we sized up by two sizes.
